Lisa and I first saw our First Tiny House, on the inside of the fence at the “
    TumbleweedTiny House
” Factory in Colorado Springs, the fall of 2015.
This was going to be our getaway project for our retirement. We went for the best materials available at the time which was not that long ago.
I am a retired Designer and Builderof Custom Homes for 30+ years and still a pretty good carpenter. My Old Website: www.sunsmiths.com, it is still up.
I love designing and building what I design and this project was something I could do all by myself, for the most part.
It is what is called a “Barn Raiser”,from
    Tumbleweed Tiny Houses
, where you pick out a trailer size and a model type of a basic floor plan, our’s was the
    “Linden 20 Overlook”,
and you spec the floor plan as to windows, doors, skylights and other important details for the layout of the tiny house.
    Tumbleweed
has engineered the trailer for the load that it will carry when it is fully decked out and structural walls to deal with any racking that the end walls might have.
They have thought this through at
    Tumbleweed
and developed a road worthy design and construction package.
Well even the best laid plans can runamuck. We have too much to down scale from thirty + years of collecting.
Our plans and life have changed, as has it has for most people.
This is what we have to offer:

“Big Red” the Truck, is a 4x4, 4 Door, 2006F-450 XLT package, with a long wheel base. It has the deluxe interior packagewith the very comfortable seats: 142,000 miles on it.
I purchased the truck online from a dealer in Kentucky and had it shipped out to me in New Mexico, 2018.
I researched Ford Power Strokes for a goodyear as far as to dependability and serviceability, to find out that 2005 –2007 were good years to basically rebuild.
I have a great mechanic that has kept my 1996 F250 7.3L Power Stroke going, with many miles on it and it runs like a champ.
I put on 4 new shocks, brakes and steering stabilizer shock, had the 4x4 system rebuilt along with front tie rods and drag link, new oil injector pump and oil coolerkit, new speedometer and front console,
rebuilt trailer brake controller and all fluids flushed and replaced.
Chris Spear at Spear’s Automotive Service, Inc., Cedar Crest, NM specializes in older Ford Diesels, went over the truck completely. He told me that the basic engine was in great shape, the engine had two new heads and that the heads and engine had been
“Bullet Proofed”, that is the engine had new head bolt inserts installed and other updates to the engine to help problems that tended to happen with the Factory Set-up.
I replaced the front headlight units and new tail light units as well. There are 2 rear view cameras with a monitor on the dash. There are 2 spare tires for the truck and 1 for the trailer. A new 12 ton bottle jack and lug wrench.
The trailerhitch is new and Class 5 load rated. The flatbed is 9 ft long and 7 ft 8 inwide with rail points and a Gooseneck ball and hookup point, with bed cover inthe middle of the bed.
A 5 Kw, 20amp, Gas powered “Generic” Electric Generator is included. It is not new, used only a little and serviced regularly. The proper pigtail chord to hookup the generator to the Tiny House is included.
It can beloaded and unloaded with hoist that is included on the end of the flat bed.
Everything inside the Tiny House has been packed in boxes or anchored to the trailer to make everything
    road-able as possible.
Truck has a New Mexico Title and registration: current
    and
the Tiny House has a Colorado Title and expired registration.
